The Summit reinterprets the relationship between architecture and landscape, creating a public space that is both topographical and cultural. The project integrates movement, ecology, and urban identity through pedestrian and cycling networks, shaded courtyards, and riverside terraces. Raised walkways ensure year-round accessibility, while floodable zones enhance biodiversity and reveal the changing rhythm of the river.
The building itself merges with its context through careful alignment with the historic skyline of Kaunas. A sculpted roof terrace serves as an urban amphitheater and public garden—accessible to everyone and offering panoramic views of the city, river, and castle. Inside, a bright central atrium functions as a civic heart, fostering openness, orientation, and community engagement. The Summit becomes both a physical and symbolic elevation of Kaunas: a space for everyone, a view for all.
