Two Projects, Two Architizer A+Awards

The Nature Gate wins the jury award for Unbuilt Sustainable Non-Residential Project, while Himlavalvet wins the public vote for Unbuilt Transportation at the 2025 A+Awards.

A forest gateway and a climbable bridge: two different proposals, united by the ambition to connect people with place. ENTROPIC received two distinctions at the 2025 Architizer A+Awards, recognising that approach across civic architecture and infrastructure.

The Nature Gate was named Jury Winner in Unbuilt Sustainable Non-Residential Project. Himlavalvet was named Popular Choice Winner in Unbuilt Transportation. The awards bring together professional jury selection and the public vote.

In Józefów, Poland, The Nature Gate joins a kindergarten and library within an existing pine forest. Developed with studio4SPACE, the proposal connects two programme-specific volumes through a gateway and shared spaces. Rooftop recreation extends play above the ground, helping retain the forest below. Learning, public life and landscape become parts of one architectural idea.

In Ängelholm, Sweden, Himlavalvet treats a crossing of Rönne å as both infrastructure and an experience of place. Developed with Degree of Freedom, its walkable structural arch invites people to climb, pause and encounter the river from a different perspective. Timber and weathering steel connect the proposal to the local bridge heritage, while the arch gives it a distinct civic presence.

Both projects ask how architecture can make connection more generous: between programmes, between people and between the city and its landscape. We thank Architizer, the jury, everyone who voted and the teams and collaborators who shaped the proposals.
