Different minds. Shared purpose.

We believe progress begins when ideas are challenged. Different perspectives sharpen our thinking; research and experimentation take it further. We value both the courage to propose something new and the care to make it work.

From Barcelona and Dubai, we work internationally. Each place brings new conditions and new questions. Explore our work to see how we connect those differences through a shared approach to design.

Architectural Intern DesignerBarcelona · Internship

ENTROPIC is growing. We are looking for an Architectural Intern Designer who sees architecture as a place to question, experiment and imagine what comes next.

We work across architecture, landscape, urbanism and interiors. Our projects bring culture, nature and people into conversation — turning complex questions into clear, ambitious ideas. Join an international team developing work across Europe and the Middle East, with space to learn, contribute and grow through mentorship.

What you will explore
Contribute to design research, concept development and architectural studies. Help translate ideas into models, drawings and visual narratives. Work alongside the team to test possibilities and communicate the thinking behind them.

What we are looking for
A genuine curiosity for architecture and the world around it. A portfolio that shows how you think, not only what you can render. Confidence working in Rhino, clear English communication and the willingness to experiment, collaborate and learn.

You must currently be enrolled in a university programme or Erasmus+. The role is based in our Barcelona office; applicants should already be based here or be willing and able to relocate with the appropriate authorisation.

How to apply
Send your combined portfolio and CV, with a short introduction, to join@entropic.es. Use “Architectural Intern Designer” as your email subject. Tell us who you are, what drives you and why this work matters to you.

We are interested in the care, depth and intent behind your work. Show us the questions you are asking — and the ideas you want to pursue.

You may have skills we are not actively recruiting for, but which could still be relevant to the way ENTROPIC works. If you see a meaningful connection between what you do and what we are building, we would like to hear from you.

Tell us where you could contribute, what you bring that we may not yet be looking for, and why it matters. Architecture, design, research, technology, communication, making and unexpected combinations of these are all welcome.

Send a concise introduction, your CV or profile, and a small selection of work that helps us understand how you think.

Free guide: how to apply to an architecture studio

A clear application helps us understand your thinking, your circumstances and the contribution you could make. Use these steps for an architecture internship or job application to ENTROPIC; adapt the template to your own experience.

1. Explain your motivation and contribution

Name the role you are applying for, explain why ENTROPIC’s work interests you, then describe why you are suited to it and what you could contribute. Refer to a project or idea you have genuinely explored and connect it to your own experience; a specific, concise introduction is more useful than a generic covering letter.

2. State your current situation and availability

Tell us whether you are studying, recently graduated or already working, and your current city and country. After the Spain work-status statement described in step 3, give your soonest start date, whether you seek a long-term role or a short-term placement, and your available duration. These are in-person studio opportunities, not remote positions. Confirm that you understand this and explain any relocation needed for the office stated in the opening; do not assume an office if the role does not identify one. Please do not include your full home address.

3. Clarify work authorisation and Erasmus+ support

For a Barcelona role, state whether you already have permission to work or undertake a traineeship in Spain, or whether an authorisation process would be needed. Do not email passport copies or identity documents with your initial application. Erasmus+ traineeship funding is an optional route, not a requirement for acceptance. If relevant, tell us your institution, proposed dates and administrative needs. We can discuss support for the receiving-organisation paperwork for an agreed placement; eligibility and funding are determined by your institution and programme, not guaranteed by ENTROPIC.

Check the official Erasmus+ traineeship guidance ↗

4. Describe how you work

Rhino is part of our everyday design workflow. Explain your current level and show a relevant example rather than only listing software names. Tell us about other modelling, drawing, visualisation or collaboration tools you use, the role you played in selected projects, and what you would like to learn.

5. Confirm your English communication

ENTROPIC is an English-speaking studio. We only consider candidates who can communicate and collaborate in English. Write your application in English and describe your spoken and written ability. You are welcome to mention other languages as well; they do not replace the English requirement.

6. Share a focused portfolio and send your email

Designers must include a portfolio: it is our primary assessment of compatibility with the studio’s work. Include your CV and a concise portfolio, or a reliable link that opens without an account or an access request. Identify your contribution to collaborative work and credit the team. Choose work that explains your design thinking, not only finished renders. For a non-design role, provide relevant work evidence rather than inventing a design portfolio. Check links, filenames and attachments, then send your introduction to the application address shown in the relevant opening. Use join@entropic.es for an open application.
