Can a concert hall become part of everyday city life? ENTROPIC and studio4SPACE explore that question in their competition proposal for Kraków Philharmonic.
The concert hall rises above a broad podium, giving music a distinct presence within the city. Administration, dressing rooms and rehearsal spaces sit within the base, allowing the principal volume to read as a lighter form above it.
Ramps and platforms extend the building’s public realm towards a busy transport setting. They invite movement around the hall while proposing a buffer between performance spaces and street activity. Acoustic separation remains a design intention, not a measured performance claim.
The proposal connects a cultural institution with the journeys that surround it, treating arrival, movement and gathering as part of the architectural experience. The images present the competition design, not a completed building or awarded commission.
